Leaders in the business field can contribute to our schools in many ways and not only by making monetary investments. Business leaders can mentor and speak to children. These connections help students become motivated about their future. Studies show that if kids plan ahead for success in the future then they are less likely to drop out of schools. For low-income neighborhoods where the children may not be able to afford college, it is important they are motivated about their future. What does this look like in practice?
